SMS / Text Messaging Policy 

Text messaging is used solely for operational and administrative purposes, including:

• Staffing opportunity notifications 

• Assignment and schedule confirmations 

• Client or case‑related updates necessary for coordination 

• Credentialing, compliance, or documentation reminders 

• Confirmation of hours worked as reported by independent contractors or clients

Florida State Nurse Registry does not use SMS messaging for advertising or unsolicited marketing. 

All caregivers referred by Florida State Nurse Registry are independent contractors, not employees of the registry. SMS communications do not constitute supervision, direction, approval of work, or control of services provided.

Florida State Nurse Registry functions only as a communication conduit and recordkeeping support entity, consistent with Florida Statute 400.506.

Text messages may be used to confirm hours worked as reported by the independent contractor and/or client. These confirmations are used for documentation and billing support only and do not represent time approval, payroll processing, or employment oversight. 

Message frequency varies based on staffing activity, assignment volume, and documentation needs. 

Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. 

You may opt out at any time by replying: STOP

After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages unless you re‑enroll by contacting the registry office.

Florida State Nurse Registry respects the privacy of contractors and clients. SMS communications are limited to necessary operational purposes and will not include sensitive protected health information except when minimally required for care coordination and permitted by law.
